2015 has been a fundamental year of change. So many things have happened and made me grow as a person. I'm not going to lie... I find change very scary but I definitely think the changes which have occurred during 2015 have made me a better person as cliche as that may sound.
There have been both highs and lows this year. I've lost a lot of friends but also gained new ones, I've been to a ton of amazing gigs, I worked my bum off during exam time and received AS grades to be proud of, I visited a lot of cool cities with a lot of cool people, I applied for university, one of the biggest and most life changing things that will ever happen in my life. My list is honestly endless.
I think the biggest change in 2015 for me was learning to open up and share my life with a significant other. My boyfriend is my absolute rock and he has taught me that it's okay to drop down your guard every now and again and open up your heart, so shoutout to Will if you happen to be reading this. I love you and I'm eternally grateful for you making me a better person.
If there's one thing I've learnt in 2015 is that change is necessary. You may not like it, you may not want it but it's got to occur. If there's toxic people in your life who shouldn't be there, get rid of them. If there's something you can work harder at then do it. You are the creator of your future and only you and you alone can shape how it will play out. These are words I've began to see as my motto throughout this year and I'm hoping to carry them through to the next.
In 2016, I want to travel more. Not necessarily abroad (although that would be great), but just to other parts of the UK as there's so many amazing places I am yet to visit. I want to blog more as it has always been a passion of mine, I want to discover new things, meet new people, be a ray of sunshine for a strong percentage of the year and create more memories to fondly look back on.
So watch this space.
I hope you all have a fantastic new year and a massive thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read these ramblings over the course of the year, you're all pretty great.
Until next time,
Nicole x
