Beauty // Winter Lipstick Picks

Is there anything better than being able to wear a beautiful berry lip in winter? Because I think not… Winter is definitely my favourite season to experiment with makeup and being a pale skinned gal, I struggle to pull off darker colours in months other than autumn and winter.

I’ve decided to compile a selection of my favourite shades that get me through the colder months and of course they ALL just happen to be gorgeous red colours.

Firstly I think that my favourite of them all has to be the beauty that is Rimmel 107. This is such a lovely dark berry red colour and it honestly lasts all night which is partly one of the reasons why I love it so much. Another Rimmel favourite is a slightly more purple-toned red in the shade 30. I think this colour is so amazing for the colder months however it doesn’t have the staying power that the Kate 107 does. It is still however a great colour for the colder season if you don’t mind topping it up a couple of times.

New York Apple by mac is a lipstick I have mentioned on my blog before. I absolutely love it. The frost finish compliments the colour so well and there is no better season to wear it than winter.

Next up is an Urban Decay favourite, and it’s the super-saturated high gloss lip colour in the shade scandal. I love this because not only is it a beautiful colour but it also leaves your lips with a slight gloss, as an all matte look is not always what I’m after. The colour pay-off is great and it lasts particularly well for a non-matte finish.

Finally, I’d like to mention a recent purchase which is the Maybelline colour drama in the shade berry much.  I absolutely love this colour. It’s a much darker purple-red than any of the colours I have previously mentioned so if you’re after a new dark lipstick and want to make a statement then this is definitely for you!

Thank you for reading,
